I think we can all agree that 2022 is better behind us, as we recover from the effects of the worldwide pandemic, the ongoing terrible events in Ukraine and closer to home, the energy crisis, higher interest rates and an ineffective assembly.

The combination of a number of these factors has created an environment of wait and see, which in my experience of over 45 years in the property sector does not work.  To put it bluntly "if you snooze you lose".

We have all lived through many daunting situations, and it has been my experience there is always a property market of people who will get on with moving house for many varied reasons.  The market adjusts prices both for the buyer and seller.

If you are still interested by the current situation has left you a bit anxious about what to do next, my advice is to ask Cowley to give you a current valuation on your own property, look at where you wish to purchaser and review your financial situation with our mortgage expert.  We can also help with advice on solicitors.

The key is to be armed with the relevant information so as to make your move as informed as possible.

I look forward to helping you in any way I can during 2023 and may I take this opportunity of wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year.
